Yuriko “Aunty Grace” Yamauchi, 94, of Hilo died Nov. 27, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Jan. 18, 1921, in Hilo, she was the retired proprietress of the former Joanne’s Dress Shop in Hilo.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. Dec. 17 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for an 11 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers or monetary gifts.
She is survived by brother, Joe (Kay) Yamauchi of Hilo; sister, Tsuyuko Hasegawa of Ewa Beach, Oahu; numerous nephews, nieces, hanai nephews and hanai nieces.

Bruce Ten Eyck
Bruce “Bru” Charles Ten Eyck, 72, of Volcano died Nov. 25, 2015, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born July 25, 1943, in Los Angeles, he was an appliance salesman for Home Depot in Orlando, Fla.

He is survived by spouse, Joline Ten Eyck.
Patricia Hess
Patricia Anne “Grams” Hess, 80, of Pahoa died Nov. 26, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Scranton, Pa., she was a retired transcriber with the former Hilo Radiologic Associates, a teacher at Pahoa High School and member of the Hilo Glad Tidings Church.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 18 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service, followed by cremation. Family requests either casual or green and silver attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.
She is survived by daughters, Deborra (Lionel Sr.) Kaawaloa, Donna (Kenneth) Walker, both of Pahoa; sons, David Hess Jr., Dean (Laverne) Hess Sr., both of Pahoa; hanai daughters, Emily Naeole, Marlene Sanoria, Georgette (Mike) Kyser, all of Pahoa, Irene Suzuki, Lisa Thomas, both of Hilo, hanai son, Darrin (Vanessa) Carlson of Hilo; sister, Jacqueline Liney of Richboro, Pa.; hanai brother, James Wright of Hilo; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 19 hanai grandchildren, 41 hanai great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Evelyn Leilani Kaiawe, 67, of Kailua-Kona died Nov. 30, 2015, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Jan. 16, 1948, in North Kohala, she was a woodworker for Roy Lambrecht, ukulele maker and member of Hui Malama Ola Na Oiwi and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 18 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kona Stake Center, Kailua-Kona, for an 11 a.m. service. Burial follows at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa.
She is survived by daughters, Carolyn Carter and Ashley (Nathan Campogan) Kaiawe, both of Kailua-Kona, Lani Sinclair of Oahu; sons, Thomas Wong of Kailua-Kona, Kimo Wong of Oahu; sisters, Elizabeth (Burton) Freitas of Oahu, Jane Kaiawe of Hilo; brother, Thomas (Barbara) Kaiawe of Oahu; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Akemi Kanoho
Akemi Teruya Kanoho, 67, of Hilo died Nov. 22, 2015. Born in Uruma City, Okinawa, Japan, she was a travel agent and tour guide for Tours by Charlie.

Leslie Malia Louise Campos Nakachi, 71, of Kailua-Kona died Dec. 9, 2015, at her residence. Born June 3, 1944, in Honolulu, she was a homemaker.

Tomie Fukuyama, 94, of Kohala died Nov. 10, 2015, at Kohala Hospital. Born Nov. 25, 1920, in Hoea, Kohala, she was a member of the Kohala Senior Citizens.
